We are offering a ice bucket in the Candlewick pattern, product line 400/63, made by Imperial in Bellaire, Ohio USA. This Crystal piece’s color is clear with tiny round glass beads on edges, and no trim. The clarity of the glass hasn’t been matched by other glass producers.
The Candlewick (AKA Candle wicking) is one of Imperial Glass longest running glassware lines. Earl Newton thought about the edging on the Colonial-style needlework called “candlewicking” when designing the Candlewick 400 line, which was in introduced at the Wheeling Centennial Celebration in August of 1936. This Elegant Glass was made from 1936 to Imperial’s closing in 1984.
