HERE WE HAVE: A vintage Penncrest/JC Penney model 4444 transistor phonograph/record player! Radio Museum dates it around 1968. The housing is plastic and although it's noted as "off white polar blue", it looks more off white and green (sage?).
Comes with the BSR 45rpm adapter shown in the last photo!
CONDITION: Acceptable, used condition but may need some servicing! The player wasn't tested with a record but it does power on and the platter spins at varying speeds! I don't know if the platter is spinning at the correct speeds though. It has a needle and cartridge on it but I don't know how good it is, could need replaced. When I try to set it to automatic mode, the tone arm twitches a bit but then drops down in place and then the whole thing powers off. There are surface scratches, scuffs, stains, and general yellowing to the case throughout. Will come as shown, so please see photos!
MEASUREMENTS: Whole piece measures approximately 14 3/8" wide, 9 1/4" front-to-back, and 6 3/4" tall with the lid closed.
