The Canon VFL-1 Video Light and Flash attaches to the Advanced Accessory Shoe on the camcorder; it improves the lighting and image quality. Powered directly by the camcorder's power source eliminating the need for additional power or electronic cables. It acts as a video light and turns on and off automatically. As a flash, it can fire automatically or act as a pre-flash to reduce the red-eye effect.

Flash mode will not work with GL-2 or ZR-70MC camcorder's
