Product Description:
It is very rare to find to a lens of this vintage that is in this kind of optical condition. This Kinoptik Apochromat Paris 50mm F2 lens was removed from a vintage Debrie motion picture camera and retains its lens mount from the cine camera. We have seen many of these vintage lenses over the past 30 years, however, none as nice as this. It’s almost like it sat in a clean, dry, climate-controlled time capsule for the last 75 years. We’re keeping the camera and one of the lenses that came with it for showroom display for the same reason. A truly rare find.
This Kinoptik 50mm lens has its original 8-blade iris intact (in great condition -- see photos) making this vintage Kinoptik lens an excellent re-mounting or re-housing candidate to enable use on a modern camera. The lens body condition can be seen in attached photos. The lens has been checked for optical condition and proper operation by our in-house lens technician. It is free of glass scratches, fog and fungus issues.
