Research indicates this is a rare set of matching, approximate Civil War era, knives and forks with pewter inlaid, wooden handles - 8 matching pieces, plus 3 extra non-matching forks. The matching set is in overall fair to good, antique condition and comparing them to other sets online, have extra fancy inlaid handles. The knives measure about 9" in length, the matching forks about 8" and the smaller non-matching forks about 7.25" in length. One knife has a couple of chips out of the blade edge. Two of the the 3 non-matching forks have small missing pieces, while the other is in good, antique condition - see the photos. From approximately the Civil War era (1860s) and ready for your next re enactment or as an addition to your collection.
