Description

Offered here is this amazing salvaged Antique Spanish Colonial Style Light Sconce Fixture.  I am unsure of its exact age, however, it most likely dates to the late 1920s or possibly 1930s.  It is made of solid brass components with some of it finished in a copper color.  The fixture was salvaged from The Frederick Estate in California.  It is in very good condition, and was working when it was salvaged, however, it will most likely need to be re-wired, and should be installed by a professional electrician.  It is in amazingly good condition, with very little sign of wear at all. There are a few small paint smudges on it, particularly where it touched the wall, as well as on the faux candlesticks.  It does have some small areas of oxidation on the inside at some of the joints.  It is dusty and will need to be cleaned up.  It has the imitation candlestick cardboard cover on the socket.  The fixture is made to hold a standard size light bulb. It comes with an amazing shade that clips onto the light bulb.  The shade is hand crafted, with a type of paper that is molded around a steel frame, and has actual dried plants, and leaves pressed between the layers of paper. It is an art form that began back in the 19th Century, and the shade is absolutely beautiful and unique.  The metal of the sconce has a beautiful patina to it that only adds to the character and charisma of this fixture. The brass has been painted to look like copper, with some of the brass retaining its original color, giving the fixture a beautiful two-toned finish that has a gorgeous antique patina and could be polished, but looks amazing as it is. The fixture is 11.5" tall from top to bottom, 11" from the top of the candlestick sockets to the bottom, 4.25" wide across the back, 6.5" deep front to back, and 8" deep including the shade.  It is an incredible salvaged light sconce fixture.  It will be a beautiful addition to any home that makes a gorgeous unique statement.
