1930s/40s black silk velvet vampy gown with black and pink netting.

Absolutely fantastic draping on the hips and skirt and ruched velvet at the waist. The bodice has folded over dagger pointed draping on the cups, long thin black satin straps (that have been shortened a little by the previous owner) but can be lengthened an extra inch or so. The black is so saturated it's hard to get photos of the nice details!

The netting is 2 layers, over a black satin lining. Beneath that is a starched horsehair/muslin band to keep the skirt full.

Has a poly invisible side zip.

The dress is in excellent condition, no rips or tears in the velvet or issues.

The black netting is in great condition, with no major structural issues, a few holes here and there. The pink has a couple of holes, some color bleed from the black and has splotches, luckily with the black overlay it's not very noticeable. There are a couple of yellowed stains on the pink and on the interfacing under the skirt, it appears to be an aged spilled drink? The hem of the tulle is a little rough and feathered, but it appears to be evenly cut.

I have not tried to dry clean this incase the black bleeds further into the pink.
