An absolute stunning and ultra rare signed "Vanguard Waltham gold filled case with the "Montreal Canadians" logo on the gold filled case. As I grew up in Montréal and still to this day play ice hockey for over 53 years now I have grown up with the ole Mtl "Habs" at the Atwater street Montréal Forum and this logo in super clean and riveted onto this signed "Waltham Vanguard" case. This is a 16 size piece so across this gold filled Waltham signed case is 54mm across. The case is also signed by the manufacture and it reads ""C.W.C.Co, Trade Mark, Crescent". The serial number is 1,645,659. This is a swing out case so the bezel is removed by unscrewing counter clock wise. Then you pull out the crown to the far position and there is a lip at the 6 position and when lifter the movement ring will "swing out" to expose the movement. The dial is enamel and double sunk and with a repair at the tip of the 7 position, small but it is there and needs to be mentioned. The hands are genuine Waltham spade railroad pieces and for this piece. The movement is with 23 super clean and inspected jewels and the balance cock has a genuine diamond for the cap jewel. The hairspring is a Breguet over coil with a "Lossier" terminal attachment so there are fewer positional errors to be had and indeed this is a double roller model. Notice please all jewels are in solid raised gold jewel settings and even the center wheel is solid gold. This one has it all and as it has been serviced the proper way so for sure it keeps railroad time no doubt please. The serial number for this Waltham Vanguard up and down movement is 19,105,412 which places this presentation Waltham to the year 1913. The crystal is glass and no a flaws. On the barrel bridge it does read "5 positions".
