Daikon -Fracking Radish Seeds -Ground Cover Radish -Bio Drill/Tiller Radish -Asian Radish

Fracking Daikon Radish is a deep rooted forage radish that will make an outstanding winter cover crop. The deep taproot of the Fracking Radish can help break up the tough, compacted soil, improve water infiltration, suppresses weeds, eliminate pests and stores nitrogen.

Also known as Oilseed radish, or Raphanus sativus, tillage radish, Forage radish, groundhog radish, radish ripper, fracking radish, and the comic book-worthy “turbo radish.” It can reach its two-inch-wide tuber down to 20 inches with its taproots going down as much as six feet. It is commonly put to work as a cover crop in  farmers' fields and permaculture gardens.

The method, called “bio-drilling”, breaks up soil compaction and improves soil fertility. Once the radish dies in the winter and its huge roots decompose, deep channels are left behind for new crop plantings. The deep impressions left by the radishes allows the new crop to find water more easily in the subsoil as well as being able to handle drought more readily.

• Reduces soil compaction
• High Biomass production
• Increases water infiltration
• Excellent Erosion Control
• Great weed suppression
• Improves microbial soil organisms
• Fast establishment

30 grams is good for 600 to 750 sq ft of garden at 8" apart

And of course, harvest a few of the daikon radish for the kitchen. Try them baked or boiled in stews and soups or in a stir fry. Also try them lightly steamed with olive oil, salt or lemon juice for flavor. Eat 'em Raw. Slice daikon radishes and eat raw with a dip or peanut butter or add shredded raw Daikon radishes to salads
