TO GIVE YOU SOME INSIGHT INTO HOW GREAT THIS KIT IS LAST PHOTO IS A SPEED SUNRISE SUMMIT OF MT KILIMANJARO THIS PAST AUGUST 2023. THE AMK KIT PERFORMED FLAWLESSLY SUMMIT TEMPERATURE WAS -18 CELSIUS / -1 FAHRENHIET. I HAD 5 LAYERS ON TOP ON SUMMIT (ICEBREAKER WOOL TEE, THE NORTH FACE FUTUREFLEECE HOODED PULLOVER, MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR GHOST WHISPER JACKET, THE NORTH FACE AMK L5 JACKET AND THE NORTH FACE L6 DOWN HOODED JACKET ONLY ON SUMMIT. FOR MY LOWER HALF JUST ICEBREAKER 150 BASELAYER AND AMK L5 SHELL PANTS. I WAS MOVING ON A FAST PACE 2 HOURS, 36 MINUTES FROM BARAFU CAMP TO UHURU SUMMIT. BREATHABILITY OF THE AMK LINE IS INCREDIBLE!

The Summit AMK L5 FUTURELIGHT Jacket is an essential outer layer when combating intense weather on mountaineering missions. This waterproof shell is burly enough to protect us against mountain showers and snowstorms, light enough to keep us going through difficult treks, and roomy enough to let us wear our additional AMK layers for maximum warmth. The North Face's FUTURELIGHT membrane offers air-permeability without sacrificing storm-fighting power, keeping us protected without letting us overheat on the ascent.
