IF MORE THAN ONE ITEM IS PURCHASED FROM MY SITE, I WOULD, WHERE POSSIBLE, COMBINE POSTAL CHARGES

PRIOR TO 1949, GEROLD PORZELLAN BIRD FIGURINE. MODEL 4881/A IMPRESSED UNDER THE GLAZE, MADE IN WEST-GERMANY,ALSO HAS MAKERS BACK STAMP.

I am offering for sale this attractive figurine of a bird eating berries.

It is in an excellent, used condition, with no chips or cracks or scratches.

The Figurine, Model 4881/A, impressed under the glaze on the base, was made at the Gerold Porzellan factory in Tettau, Bavaria, some time prior to 1949; but it did not come on to the market until that year or later. This accounts for the hyphen between the “Western” and “Germany” of the back-stamp which is impressed to the base.

It is measure 4¼ inches (10.75cm) from beak to tail; 4 inches (10cm) high; and the base is 2¼ inches (5.5cm) in circumference.
