ESTER Core® technology
For many decades MOTUL has been manufacturing high performance synthetic lubricants based on Ester.
The 300V line is formulated with the latest evolution of MOTUL exclusive ESTER Core® technology which allows maximum engine power without compromising reliability and wear protection.
By selecting the esters, among the high performance synthetic base stocks, and the organic base stocks and combining them with an innovative package of additives, MOTUL has created a perfect synergy capable of improving engine performance and protection. This exclusive racing formula is now compatible with biofuels (especially ethanol) and particulate filters, protects against low-rpm knocking and reduces environmental impact.
Esters are polar molecules attracted to metal surfaces.
The ESTER Core® technology has an optimized polarity for a perfect adherence of the oil film in order to improve protection, reliability and drivability, even in the most severe conditions of use.
This exclusive technology, used only in the 300V range, allows:
• Maximum Power: Reduced friction for maximum power and torque at all speeds
• Reliability: High shear stability for increased oil film strength which reduces engine wear
• Durability: Improved oxidation resistance for longer oil and engine life

The racing formulation of the 300V with ESTER Core® technology is also compatible with biofuels and particulate filters as well as protecting against knocking at low rpm (LSPI):
• Biofuels: compatible with alcohol-based fuels, especially Ethanol (up to E85)
• LSPI protection: compatible with engines subject to knocking at low rpm
• Particulate filter: compatible with particulate filters requiring low ash oils (SAPS: 0.91%wt and TBN: 8.1 mg KOH/g)
ORGANIC BASIS
The organic base using renewable materials of non-fossil origin limits the environmental impact and allows MOTUL to reduce its carbon footprint by 25% during the manufacturing process.
All the viscosities of the 300V LE MANS allow stable oil pressure and maximum engine reliability in the most extreme conditions of use. All viscosities of 300V LE MANS are suitable for engines which suffer from high oil dilution by the fuel and which have high tolerances.
- MOTUL 300V LE MANS oils are suitable for many applications and are particularly recommended for endurance races, drift, etc. or historic car racing (rebuilt engines) that require maximum protection from wear and oil pressure loss. - To choose the correct viscosity of the 300V, follow the instructions in the use and maintenance manual or consult your trainer. - To obtain high engine performance, avoid mixing with other synthetic or mineral lubricants. - Replacement interval: consult your preparer to choose the most appropriate and adapt according to your use
