On offer is a vintage ¼ pint (200ml) coffee mug and saucer decorated with the Arabesque pattern, made in stoneware by Denby Pottery Derbyshire England.

Arabesque was designed by Gill Pemberton in 1964, a bold, hand painted geometric design, in which solid red, yellow and mid-brown glazes are used to create circle and roundel patterns set on a deep brown coloured background, finished in a high-quality satin glaze with off-white to the interior. It is dishwasher and microwave safe.

The mug is 9.5cm deep, by 6.5cm in diameter, the saucer is 14.5cm across and they are in good condition free from damage, chips, or cracks, just the odd light surface mark due to use or age. The Denby printed mark is on the base although extremely faint or missing on some items. The unpackaged weight is 396 grams.

Thank You - For Looking

Condition: The majority or our items are either Old, Second Hand or Both and as a result they may have signs of wear and tear commensurate with age or use that you wouldn't see on a brand-new item.

As there is widespread confusion about the difference between chips, nicks, hairlines, or cracks. Here is how we see it:

A nick is a tiny bit of damage smaller than 1mm and a chip is something you can see with the eye; a hairline runs over the surface glazing but not the body of the item and a crack runs through the body of the item, usually weakening its structure.
