Vtg *Marum 1940s-50s Mens Wool Argyle Socks*◾Marked Size 11◾Deadstock NOS Tags.

It's a great looking pair of men's argyle socks, the kind any swing dancer or gentleman could want if dressing vintage is the preferred mode of sartorial style. This pair is all wool and still kept together with the taped paper wrap; and is pinned with a cost tag from a now defunct department store, Filenes-a major one-in Boston. I sell plenty of vintage menswear but don't always come up with great hosiery. I also don't see any printing on the socks that say they are "irregulars* which is fairly common, so I assume these are 1st quality-but don't hold me to that. They're just great looking, a little bit of the usual wool thickness, and ready to wear upon arrival at your door. See the pics they tell the story.

It is actually not easy to find this brand. As of this writing there were no other Marum socks listed nor had been sold in the past 90 days on this site. A chance here to get a relatively harder to find and venerable name of men's hose.

A pic shows that they are size 11. From mid heel to toe, they stretch to at least that in inches, and just a bit more easily, and from mid heel they rise up about 10".
