Notes: A fantastic mid-century wall mirror, shaped a little like an old TV screen, made of handcarved hardwood and finished with a lacquered shell gold (gold powder) gilding that has a gentle shimmer and a high surface sheen. It was bought in Paris, and is probably French. It dates to the 1950s or 1960s.

The mirror can be hung square or diagonally, creating very different looks, and making it suitable for spaces of different sizes - hanging diagonally adds both visual and physical height and width.

It has its original mirror plate, which shows gentle foxing.

Condition Report: Foxing to the mirror plate, which is generally a positive rather than a negative for old mirrors. Otherwise, in excellent condition.
