This is a great Model of the Wurth Zakspeed Ford Capri Turbo Group 5. The Car was Driven by Klaus Ludwig to Win the 1981 DRM Touring Car Championship.

In 1978 Ford and Zakspeed Racing Decided to Prepare a Group 5 Silhouette Version of the Ford Capri. The car Made its Debut at the End of the Season in the DRM or German Touring Car Championship and Proved to have Considerable Potential. The Capri was Raced in Division 2 which is for Cars with Displacements up to 2000cc. The Capri Found a Valid Rival in the BMW 320.

The Capri was Equipped with a 1400cc Turbocharged Engine, which in a Fairly Short Period Grew from 380 to 450 Horsepower Plus. In 1980 Zakspeed Released a 1700cc Version with an Estimated 600Horsepower Plus.

Model Box was Opened for Inspection After Initial Purchase. The Model was Not Removed from the Packaging or Displayed. The Model was Wrapped in Bubble Wrap and Stored in a Dust Free Cabinet. The Model was Produced in a Limited Production Run of 1,350 Pieces.

Pictures of the model are for illustration purposes only, and not of the actual model. The Model is Diecast and has Opening parts.

Postage of the Model includes Australia Post Tracking with Full Insurance Cover. For International Orders, I use a Larger than Standard Packaging Box.

This Enables Me to Completely Surround the Model with Plenty of Packaging Material. This Adds to the Postage Cost, But in Turn Hopefully Delivers the  Model, Safely and Intact to it's Destination.
