Exquisite, antique doorknob plate made by,
"Penn Hardware," of Reading, PA sometime during the
first half of the previous century. It's made of solid, heavy, thick, cast
brass. It was nickel plated, which is why it has a silver/gray color rather than
a yellowish brass color.
The plate has lovely, Greek Revival style details which are
accentuated by a subtle patina. If you prefer your hardware bright and shiny, we
could clean and polish the piece to a brilliant shine for an additional

The beauty and
quality of the piece are only matched by it's superb condition.
Expect light scratches and tiny nicks, but no breaks, cracks, chips, dents,
