The term treen is derived from the old English word trēowen, meaning “of the tree” or to put it in more simple terms, wooden. In the antiques trade it is the collective name used to describe handmade functional items which are made predominantly from wood.

It is solid wood 31.5cm in diameter by 2.5cm deep and is in good condition, just the odd light mark from use. The unpackaged weight is 630 grams.

Thank You - For Looking

Condition: The majority or our items are either Old, Second Hand or Both and as a result they may have signs of wear and tear commensurate with age or use that you wouldn't see on a brand-new item.

As there is widespread confusion about the difference between chips, nicks, hairlines, or cracks. Here is how we see it:

A nick is a tiny bit of damage smaller than 1mm and a chip is something you can see with the eye; a hairline runs over the surface glazing but not the body of the item and a crack runs through the body of the item, usually weakening its structure.
