Vintage Mixed Media Pencil Texture Drawing Acrylic Painting Bull Fighter Matador.

This mixed media work is by well-known American artist Alvey Jones. Mr. Jones is easily found online with an internet search. He has had quite a diverse career since graduating from college with his art degree in 1965. This being dated in 1964 it is obviously a very early work in his career. I do not know if it was for a college class or what. I have not taken this work out of the frame, but there may be something written on the back.

This is an exercise in pencil with texture under the paper, and a dab of blood red acrylic (I’m assuming) paint that jumps off the page to depict the reality of the scene.

The work is framed in a nice gold metal frame. It is very secure. It weighs in right at 8 pounds. It measures 25 1/4 inches wide and 20 1/4 inches tall in the frame.
