Antique 19th Century Round Chinese Wood Box Phoenix Bird Flowers Hand Painted.

Offering this fantastic large antique19th Century Chinese Round Hand Crafted Wood Box with Hand Painted Phoenix Bird and Stylized Flowers. The bent wood side piece was put together with small nails and laced at the seam with cane. The top pieces are stitched together with cane as well. This wood box was hand stained and hand painted. There are some cracks in the wood lid and body as pictured. There appears to be a previous attempted repair of the crack in the bottom of the body with clear glue residue, and some whitish color glue in the 3 o'clock position of the underside picture. It appears to be an effective repair as the pieces are stable. Although not perfect, it is truly perfectly beautiful. Please see pictures for the actual condition of this fabulous wood box.
