Vintage 1960s Italian Made Baby/Doll Carrier/Moses Basket with Cushion and Board Insert

Made in Rome, Italy 
Shape: Oval (Carrier, Cushion and Board insert

Carrier:  
  • Oval shaped
  • Colour:  Blue external, Cream Internal
  • Feature:  Cartoon Dog and Duck on the front
  • Material:  Cotton
  • Collapsible edges. With wood inserts to creature more stability when the carrier is in use

  • Length:  Approx 70cm x 40cm
  • Depth:  Approx 23cm
  • No Label
  • No safety label regarding fire resistance
Cushion:  
  • Oval shape
  • Colour:  Cream
  • External Material:  Cotton
  • Internal stuffing:  Unsure.  Could be horse hair. or vegetable fibre padding
  • Dimensions are slightly smaller than the carrier to allow the cushion to be inserted
  • Cushion width is 8cm
  • No safety label regarding fire resistance
Board Insert:

  • Dimensions are slightly smaller than the carrier to allow the board to be inserted
  • Material:  Wood but unsure of exact type of wood. 
  • No safety label regarding fire resistance

Condition:  Pre-Owned.  Used 3 times since 1962.
  • Carrier some yellowing & spotting on internal due to age.  Some splitting of seams- see photos. 
  • The cushion has yellow spots on each side due to age.
