It weighs approximately 110 pounds and measures 42” in total height, 40” in total width, and 19 ½” in total depth. The finish on the cabinet is original and does, as one would expect, shows some wear completely consistent with its age. The center round bronze Medallion and design details on this cabinet are absolutely exquisite.
The details on this beautiful Credenza Cabinet are, again, exquisite and beyond phenomenal! The top has lovely lift top glove box compartment that is adorned with incised carved gold gilt accents and raised horizontal burl panels on the front and sides of the body of the glove box. These burl accents and incised carved gold gilt accents are repeated throughout this exceptional piece and you are sure to appreciate the phenomenal round bronze Medallion in the center of the very fancy door. This phenomenal Medallion has a motif of a pastoral scene of a large dog along with a Gentleman playing an instrument while a Lady gently shears a sheep. This very fancy door also has elegant raised geometric burl accents and elegant moulding work, along with exquisite incised carved gold gilt details.
This very fancy door does have an intact lock and we have included a decorative (non-working) tasseled key to assist with opening. Speaking of opening, you will find two ample storage shelves behind this very fancy door. These two shelves each measure 13 ½” deep by 31 ½” wide and the total storage area in the interior compartment, if one were to remove the shelves, would be 27 ½” tall by 31 ½” wide, by 13 ½” deep. Next, elegant dimensionally shaped and incised carved ebonized and gold gilt sconces with rosette roundels adorn the front sides of this very fancy door.
