2005 Gibson'61 SG - Cherry SG61HCNH ’61 reissue sounds and plays remarkably. Classic deep double-cutaway and beveled edge carved into an all-mahogany body, the '61 Reissue looks and feels like its vintage counterpart. Gibson included two highly accurate PAF-style humbuckers in the redesign. For those looking for a vintage Gibson, check out the Gibson SG '61 reissue. In its original hard-shell case complete with case candy.
The body is one solid piece of mahogany with a 5- ply b/w/b pickguard and cherry nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
It has a 1960’s slim taper mahogany neck with a bound Indian rosewood fretboard with Cellulose Nitrate Trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, nylon nut, 1.687” nut width, 24.75” scale length, Gibson Deluxe tuners with emerald keystone buttons and a 12” fretboard radius.
The neck and bridge pickup are Gibson Custom-bucker Alnico III (Un-potted) humbuckers and there is a 3 way toggle with 2 volumes and 2 tones. It features CTS 500K audio taper potentiometers with Black Beauty Capacitors, nickel hardware, lightweight aluminum stop-bar and ABR-1 tune-o-matic.
In great overall condition with very little signs of playwear on the body. There are a few small pick scratches on the pick-guard. The frets are in fantastic shape as this guitar was used very little and has spent most of its life in the case in a humidity controlled environment.
Setup with 10’s and ready to play.
