Extremely Rare Teac FD-505 Floppy Combo Unit 3.5" And 5.25" Floppy Drive.

The 3.5 unit seems to work fine.  It formats, writes ard reads disks.

For the 5.25 unit, I only have 2 floppies, unsure if they work;  the unit reported both as unformatted, so not sure if the unit is faulty or my discs are bad.

I haven't tried to format them, since they are the original driver discs from a very old and valuable video card, I can't risk destroying them.

The unit is silver, but probably it was professionally painted by the previous owner.

The configuration is a bit of a pain. Be sure to read the manual available online before installing.

I purchased some new 5'25 disks and the unit is working with no issues.

The problem now is that the 3'5 unit has quit working.

When trying to load a disk, the motor is spinning but it won't read. I don't know what's wrong, maybe there is something I didn't configure right, maybe it's the wrong floppy cable or something else.
