Large Antique Victorian Needlework Beaded Needlepoint Framed Wool Work Children & Dog.

This beautiful antique Victorian beaded tapestry appears to be European in origin. In the foreground it features a young boy wearing a beret with tassel and girl embracing in a snowy landscape with a holly bush in the lower right corner. In the background is another young boy with walking sticks and a dog. Also in the background are tall pine trees. The beadwork is set against a wool background.

It has a gesso and wood frame which does show age related damage on two corners as noted in the photos. The upper left corner and the lower left corner.

Condition:  it appears to be in good to very good condition despite age however, noted are two areas where a small area of beading is missing. One area is the youngster in the backgrounds hat and the very tip of his walking stick and the other area is the very tops of two of the pine trees. Aside from that the colors of the beading are still beautiful and vibrant with great detail. It does not appear to be acid-free mat or Museum glass within the frame which I would recommend changing at some point to protect this piece.
