"Yankee thrift" oak-and-lawn-chair-strapping stool.

I found this dear little Mid-century stool two streets over at a Beverly MA yard sale.  It's been "Yankee thrifted" from a sturdy oak frame and the remains of a lawn chair.  The result is a classic example of mid-century New England ingenuity. OK, so here are the details:

  • 14.25" in length
  • 11.75" in height
  • 11.25" in width
  • In good strong shape - very slightly uneven on the floor, but the joints and frame are solid
  • The strapping is a bit grubby on top - I haven't attempted to clean it
  • The oak grain is clear and visible

I'm spring cleaning!  So there will be more paintings, ceramics, books, and other items added as I work from room to room.  In the meantime, thank you for looking!
