On offer is a charming Discovery shape cup and saucer decorated with the Kashmir pattern made in stoneware by Denby Pottery, Derbyshire England.

The Discovery collection was conceived by Rodney Endeam in 1987. The Kashmir pattern is mink grey with a hint of brown, finished in a high gloss, with a vertical set of indented lines which run from base to rim on two sides of the cup. The pattern was discontinued in 1990. They are dishwasher & microwave safe.

The cup is 8.5cm in diameter at the rim by 7cm deep, the saucer is 14.5cm across and they are in good condition free from crazing chips or cracks. On the underside is the Denby mark and the unpackaged weight is 420 grams.

Thank You - For Looking

Condition: The majority or our items are either Old, Second Hand or Both and as a result they may have signs of wear and tear commensurate with age or use that you wouldn't see on a brand-new item.

As there is widespread confusion about the difference between chips, nicks, hairlines, or cracks. Here is how we see it:

A nick is a tiny bit of damage smaller than 1mm and a chip is something you can see with the eye; a hairline runs over the surface glazing but not the body of the item and a crack runs through the body of the item, usually weakening its structure.
