Please feel free to make an offer.

I believe it's 1943 but the paints missing where one of the numbers should be. You can just make out a 19?3.

It's a genuine item & definitely not a modern reproduction.

ONE FLARE, TRIP WIRE, MARK. WITHOUT PICKETS

An empty metal tin which would have contained a ground flare & trip wire to protect the perimeter of the camp or footpath to alert you of an approaching threat. A flare would have been released by the trip wire to alert personnel of the enermy or intruder.

A nice example which would complement any collection.

In expected used & condition for an item of this age & nature. Unfortunately both the contents & lid have been lost in history.

I had originally purchased it believing it to be SOE related but I now believe these were used by everyone.

It's just over 7 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".

Please study the images as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.

All UK postage includes the extra cost of being signed for, for added peace of mind.

Positive feedback is always appreciated.
