    This like new, excellent DASH-8 diesel was made by Williams Electric Trains and represents the Southern Pacific Railroad.  This diesel comes with a manufacturers' original storage box that is in good condition.  The storage box comes with a Styrofoam insert that protects the diesel during transit and when not in use.  This diesel has very little track time and has only some minor rub marks on the roof.   I think they were caused by inserting the unit into its Styrofoam box without a plastic bag.  I have since supplied a protective bag to prevent any more rubs from happening.  Also included is a spare set of traction tires. I have bench tested this unit and it runs strongly in forward and reverse.  All lights are in working order.

    The life and performance of this locomotive depends, to a considerable extent, upon proper care and lubrication of the motor, trucks and other moving parts.  As with all used locomotives, I do recommend a thorough cleaning and complete lubrication periodically and before initial use.  A small amount of oil and lubricant, properly applied, goes a long way towards long life and great performance.
