ABOUT THE ARTIST:

     Bonya Grigory Vasilievich - born on April 1, 1918 in the city of Gradizhsk, now the Poltava region. Graduated from: Kharkov Art School (1936-1939), Kiev Art Institute (1950). Teachers by specialty - S. Besedina, V. Kostetsky, T. Yablonskaya, A. Shovkunenko. Painter. He worked in the field of easel and monumental painting. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1978). Member of the Great Patriotic War. Participated in exhibitions: republican (1949), all-Union (1957). He began his independent work with a series of paintings "The Steppes of Ukraine" (1949). Participated in the creation of cardboard for stained glass at the entrance to the pavilion "Ukrainian SSR" at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements in Moscow (1954, co-author). Author of the mosaic panel "Science and Space" (1964, the city of Rudnoye, Kustanay region). The author of works dedicated to the life of people and the nature of the North and Siberia, his native land - "Native Land" (1957), "Mother Earth" (1959-1960), "The Legend of Gamalia" (1961), "I was thirteen" and "For holy truth, freedom. Haidamaki ”(1964), triptych“ Lesya Ukrainka ”,“ Gray Yenisei ”(1976), cycle“ Krasnoyarsk Territory ”(1974-1977), series“ Kievan Rus ”(1980-1981),“ On the construction of BAM.
