The Hydra XLX2 8S Brushless Marine ESC from Castle Creations combines the renowned XLX2 design with a massive water-cooled heatsink that can handle incredible amounts of power. With two aluminum water fittings and standard 10-32 UNF threads (optional .17" fittings included), this ESC can handle up to 8s LiPo power and includes a built-in 20 amp adjustable BEC for ultimate performance on the water.
The Hydra XLX2 uses CRYO-DRIVE technology which minimizes the amount of time the ESC’s electrical components spend generating heat, resulting in improved thermal performance during partial throttle operation where the majority of driving occurs. The Hydra XLX2 software is able to monitor and adjust this thousands of times per second making this one of the most efficient systems at managing heat. COOLER TEMPS mean LONGER RUNS and MORE POWER!
With Castle Creations, optimizing the ESC for any running conditions is made easy. Use the Castle Link Programming Suite on your Windows PC or the B-Link Bluetooth Adapter and Castle Link app for Android or iOS to create, save, and download setup profiles. For further tuning, adjust settings on-the-fly using the Auxiliary wire and your transmitter. Simply connect the white signal wire to an open radio channel and choose your desired Auxiliary function in Castle Link. Access parameters like Torque Control, Max Brake, and Max Throttle to fine-tune your experience.
