Handcrafted European Glass Ornaments created by blowing molten glass into a figural mold, silvering the inside for luminosity and hand painting the exterior with fine detail has been the tradition and unique work of European glassblower crafts people in Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia and Italy since the mid 1800's. These ornaments first made their way into American homes after F. W. Woolworth's reluctant purchase in 1880 for his store in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  He was very surprised to sell out in a single day!  By 1939, Woolworth stores had sold 500 million European glass ornaments!  Most of ours were made by Inge-glas, Whitehurst and Radko in the 1980's and 1990's.  You will love the quality and reasonable prices of these fine vintage ornaments!
