We now only provide Phil Wood brass nipples with these spokes - specially imported from America for London Spokes Ltd. Phil Wood produce some of the most durable wheel building tools, hubs and parts and match the cut and rolled thread profile from our Phil Wood Spoke Machines perfectly, for even stronger wheels.

Spoke Lengths:
We stock a huge range of sizes in stock. If we do not have exactly the length you need, the closest size up will be cut to length and threads rolled as per details below:

Spokes are custom cut with 10mm of new threads cold-rolled (in most cases better than factory strength and accuracy). This has no detrimental effect on the strength or integrity of the spoke, it is the same way they are manufactured. Spokes are sheered to within 0.5mm accuracy and the threads are rolled using a Phil Wood Professional Spoke Machine (See photos) with immaculate condition rolling dies. These special machines cost upwards of £5000 so you will not find them in your average cycle shop.

The process of rolling of the spoke thread removes no metal from the spoke and preserves the grain of the material, maximising strength and greatly reducing the likelihood of failure at the threads, a common issue with budget spokes or inferior threading tools.

Careful Packaging to get to you safely:
Your spokes and nipples will be packaged in a recyclable cardboard box for protection during shipping.

At London Spokes Ltd we aim to have your order dispatched within 24 hours of the order being placed and often a lot faster than that!
Please note that Royal Mail collect by 17:00 Mon-Fri and 12:00 Sat. Most weekend orders will be collected on Mon pm.

Royal Mail 2^nd Class Delivery: £3.20 (Usually arrives with you in 2-5 days from postage*)
Royal Mail 1^st Class Delivery: £3.80 (Usually arrives with you in 1-2 days from postage*)

*Please note: Royal Mail are reporting delays across all their deliveries so please be patient. We estimate 90% of items arrive as intended although we do not send spokes via a tracked service because the costs are very high. This means we cannot tell you where they are if there is a delay in transit.
Please ignore eBay's confusing 'Tracking number' which means nothing (Don't ask me why they do this!).

In the case of significant postal delays (7 working days or more from postal date) we may offer to send a duplicate order to you on the condition that you return one order at your expense if they both happen to arrive. We are a small company so losses in transit can hurt us financially.

Returns or Exchanges:
Please please please – Double check the spokes lengths you require before ordering.
We hope you will be delighted with your spokes but should you need to return them please bear in mind that there is a 15% Restocking charge. There is no restocking charge if you wish to exchange spokes or if there is a genuine fault or error on our part.
