Safety : Includes integral thermal cut-out safety trip (settable) from 0-80 degrees.This safety alleviates the production of overly hot water to prevent scalding, and stops kettling and over-heat/over-pressure of the boiler, which can otherwise damage seals and joints in the system.

The time taken to heat your tank depends on the size, but as 1000W will heat a 100L tank in less than 4 hours approximately and then keep it warm as needed throughout the day.

48 volt systems produce up to 1000W of heat, but can be used with a 24 volt system to produce 250W or 12 volt to produce 62W.

Easily fitted by a competent DIY enthusiast : just isolate your heating system, close water inlet/stop cock, open a hot water escape/tap to drain the boiler down a bit and any header tank feed to below surface of the inlet (normally at the top of the tank). And screw in element - wrapping with PTFE.
