This the 1985 Elektra records album cover version necklace "The Best Of The Doors" . When The Doors movie came out in March 1991 the filmmakers decided to go with a red and white pattern style of necklace much like the one that was featured on "The Best Of The Doors" album. The original Jim Morrison Cobra Necklace™ or young lion necklace (Cobra necklace) is green, white, with brown and black accents that Jim Morrison himself wore in the 1967 young lion photo shoot with Joel Brodsky.

Materials: C-Lon Tex 400 Cord. Break strength 75 lbs. (this is the strongest bead cord available). This interwoven cord is the most important part of the necklace and I refuse to use anything less than C-Lon Tex 400. As of right now I am the only maker of the Jim Morrison bead necklace in the world using this high quality beading cord and have been doing so for years. I use this cord for all of my necklaces and I also suspect other seller's will soon follow my lead on this as well. Trust me the stronger the cord, the better and longer your necklace will last.
Czech glass seed beads: Each Czechoslovakian seed bead is hand selected for quality and uniformity and are the exact same size as the beads that Henry Diltz used for Jim Morrison's bead necklace. Each necklace is of the highest quality.
