Stockholm, 1988 a couple of young Swedish metal heads formed their first own band, called UNANIMATED. "In The Forest Of The Dreaming Dead" was their debut album, which was released first in 1993. Already in these early days the quintet developed one of the blackest death metal sounds of all times, which was later perfected by their compatriots DISSECTION. These 11 tracks of ''In The Forest Of The Dreaming Dead'' are Melodic Death/Black Metal pearls of the first order. UNANIMATED thus belong to the most influential bands in the Swedish Black/Death Metal scene of the early 90s, although they actually remained an insider tip until today & could never take the laurels of DISSECTION. When it comes to melodic, black-coloured, uncompromising Swedish death metal, which has lost none of its appeal over the years, then you can't get past this album. After numerous bootleg versions with countless errors in the track listing or layout, this classic piece of Swedish Black/Death Metal history is now available again in its full glory, with a fresh remastering and detailed liner notes.
