Beautiful handmade guitar armrests: these don't just add to the unique look of your guitar, it also serves a purpose. Made of beautiful, solid wood(s) these armrests are designed to be attached to the edge of the lower bout of a guitar where the strumming arm sits naturally. It not only protects the finish from harmful sweat and wear from the movement of your arm, but it also allows the top to vibrate which improves the sound quality of the guitar.

Not sure which size armrest will fit? Message me with your email address and I'll send you a printable PDF of the armrest sizes. Print the page full size, test fit by cutting them out and place them on your top to test where they will fit best. There is no "exact" placement for these. They are made so that there's enough room to move it along the body curve to find the correct placement. This will help you decide which shape will fit best. Keep in mind, that these do not need to fit exactly to work. If the edges sit a bit inward, that’s OK. These are easy to install, but here's a video to help you out. You can find the installation on my YouTube Channel (video links below) All models are installed the same way.

NOTE-The videos show the installation using my new clear gel-rubbery tape which works better. It stays in place better and can be removed with no residue left behind. Please watch both before installation AND removal.

What Does It Do? This armrest should also improve sound quality. A simple test will show what we mean. Place your guitar on your lap face up and strum it once. Now place your hand on the top and listen carefully, you will hear a dampening of the tone and a bit of the projection. This is because the top is the “soundboard,” the more it's allowed to vibrate, and move, the better the tone, volume, and projection. Imagine how this must sound when your forearm is resting on the top while playing, dampening such a large area of the top. Testing shows, that with a resting arm, you lose between 15% and 20% of the power and projection!

WOOD DESCRIPTION
*Rosewood- Wood can vary from a golden brown to a deep purplish brown, with darker brown streaks. The wood darkens with age, usually becoming a deep brown. The grain can vary from chunky to a tight light and/or dark grain. Typically, the tighter the grain the darker the color.

*Ebony- easy to identify, this is an almost black wood, and its extremely tight grain is sometimes hard to see.

*Boxwood- easy to spot this is a very tight-grain blonde color, very tight grain.

*Mountain Mahogany- this is not your typical dark-colored, heavyweight mahogany wood we are used to seeing. Mountain mahogany is actually just the opposite, it's very lightweight, medium to light-colored wood with a very tight grain.
