Vintage hardwood Wood Water Slalom Ski

70 inches long - 7 inches wide

Nice Ski With Unique Fin.

Goes back to at least the 1960s.

My dad got it from a friend around 1968 and had it painted in the Delta Airlines paint shop Delta red and white. We put new hardware on it.

As I recall, the unusual fin put up a lot of spray.

The board is made of a dense grained wood. My guess is mahogany or cypress…. It had been moved from one storage facility to another over the years. The edges are a little bumped up.

The heel rubber needs replacing. The other foot rubber is flexible. If I were going to use it, I would replace all the rubber. The metal hardware seems sound.

A great project with lots of fun promise.

Happy to answer questions. If you know anything about this kind of ski, I would appreciate any intel you can share.
