An edition of the tarot de Papus
Created by Jean-Claude Dusserre ( erudit religious, medieval and heraldic iconography ), the joint venture of the name of its founder publishes facsimiles of old card games. It is difficult to date them because no year appears on these games ( nor on their box / booklet ), but we can assume that the oldest date back to the 1960s because we knows card games from this editor dating from 1964*. Whatever he in itself, this editor offers to the general public few rare end of xıx divinatory gamese century and early xxe, whose Game from the hand by Adèle Moreau, the Tarot astrologice by Georges Muchery, the Tarot hieroglyphic from Mrs. Dulora or the Papus tarot. From a manufacturing point of view, we can see that on the one hand these editions are printed offset ( and no longer in xylogravure and pochoir, or even in lithography, which was the case of games originals ) and on the other hand, the support is not plasticized than on the ( side with rare exceptions ), the back retaining the appearance of old card games with raw paper. But all that does not tell us where the original comes from of the edition of the Papus tarot edited by Dusserre ? It turns out that the editor had one copy made from the pages of the Divine tarot from 1909, which an anonymous man had himself put in color**. It's from of this card game that Dusserre published first edition Papus tarot.
