Good used unframed 19th century portrait engraving of the Emperor Charles V. It has come from a folio.
The plate by Peter Paul Rubens after a painting by Titian. It is on thicker paper almost like card.
Possibly an early 19th strike from the plate.
The print trimmed close. All four sides torn . Bottom edge has some stains. Grubby on back.
Despite all the faults, see all tears around edges, this is a superb print. It will look even better with careful framing.
Approximate measurements:
42.7cm x 32.5cm.
