A Rare Leather Gypsy Belt. It's made from red leather with a brown leather inner. The horse shoe buckle is just base metal & not silver.

The story that's been pasted down over the years is that it was a Bare knuckle Fighting / Boxing Trophy. It's a loverly unusual item but there's no name on it or a brass fighter / boxer emblem.

There are 8 different brass emblems on it.

I don't believe it's old enough to be an Antique but it certainly has age & is at least early Vintage. Maybe anything from the 1940's to 1960's. The brass balls vary alternatively from big to small.

Sometimes there would be a secret gold sovereign pocket but there isn't one on this.

In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. Both the brass & leather will polish up better. It's not really noticeable but two small brass beads have been lost in history. The inner & outer is coming away a little between the end holes but it still functions fine & is fit for purpose.

There is a small hole inside each of the horse shoes so whether a jewel or something else was there I don't know? It's always been exactly as it is since I've owned it.

Approx 2 1/2" wide & 44" long from the tip of the buckle to the end. I have a 38" waist & it fits me.
