Description
Fine quality wooden circular tray with relief scenery carving depicting Itsukushima Shinto Shrine in Japan - features the Torii (gate), entrance to the Shinto Shrine, with deer, pagoda, pine trees and mount Misen in the background – a UNESCO World Heritage Site - possibly Showa period (1926-1989).
Condition: minor nibbles to rim; two shallow drilled spots (possibly used for wall hanging but not sure); pleasing patina and in good overall condition.
Size: 33.5cm diameter and 2.7cm high
