Reptile Systems produce a specialist 10% UVB bulb designed specifically for reptiles that require a very high UVB output, for example animals that live in a desert environment, such as Bearded Dragons.
Reptile Systems also produce a T8 UVB Bulb in 6% strength for species with lower UVB needs, such as those who live in a rainforest.
Reptile Systems UVB lamps should be replaced every 12 months. This is important even if the item is still giving out light as the Ultraviolet B light decays over time, which can only be detected using a UVB meter.
UVB is essential to most diurnal reptiles, as well as being beneficial to a great deal of species both nocturnal and diurnal.
