Here's a blast from the past. During the summer CES show of 1994, Interplay was promoting the Cyberia computer game. The promotional item they gave away at the press event was an black mug with the game's logo and the visor from the main character's sunglasses.

The mug featured a trick: when you filled it up with a hot drink, the following words would materialize on the visor:
"Experience the future" in big red letters, and underneath that would be the line "World premiere showing, twenty-three June 1994" in white text.

I was a game reviewer at the time and attended the show. As luck would have it, my copy of the mug has survived nearly thirty years, four moves, and the realization that it won't do this old fart any good to keep this mug and it's time to let go. I am auctioning this off and sending the money to charity.

The mug is in good shape and has been tested and still works. The second white line of text doesn't hide as well as it used to behind the visor, you can faintly see it, although it still brightens up nicely when the mug heats up. Even if you don't want to bid on it, take a look at both pictures to enjoy this little bit of PC gaming nostalgia from a time when Interplay still existed and was putting out great software.

Buyer to pay a choice of either USPS priority mail or parcel ground shipping (or eBay International Shipping). I will pack it with bubble wrap and in a box. Sorry folks, no returns on this one.
