Antique Front Entry Door 4 Windows w/Wavy Glass & 2 Panels

* Shipping prices to the Northeastern states may be significantly lower than the flat rate price we have to ship to all parts of the country. Read the "Shipping" section below for more information.

Handsome, antique, exterior  door salvaged from an old Brownstone in Brooklyn, NY. The door is made of solid Douglas fir and is completely painted.

The door has an impressive arrangement of 12, true-divided windows with original, wavy, glass and
2 recessed (flat) panels on both sides below the glass.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection   of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

* If you would like any of the hardware holes  plugged with    solid wood, please email us for a quote.

Quirks & Considerations:

The height of the door was unevenly cut by 5/8". The cut was most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height, cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be taller/wider--message us for a quote.

There is a small gap between between one of the panels and one of it's vertical, side-pieces of molding (see 4th photo). the molding must've been removed and not put back properly.

There is a thin (1/8") gap between the lock stile and top rail (see 5th photo). This is not a serious issue and the door could still be installed and used for decades without the gap widening. However, we could close the gap using clamps and reinforce/secure the corner using modern glue and some dowels (wooden joints)--message us for a quote.

The glass is secured using glaziers putty and not wooden molding. Some of it is missing see (6th photo). The easiest thing to do would be to add putty where it's missing.
Another option is to remove all of the putty and replace it with wooden molding. We could do either--

The door was originally 28" - 30" wide and was unevenly cut to 26".
More was taken from the hinge-side than the lock-side. We could build the door back up to its original size or wider--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong,  sturdy, and in good structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".

All of the glass is intact and also in great condition with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a home towards the right, or away from the home towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make a frame, trim or add to the height or width,  replace glass with screen,  reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small  description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
