Rare! 19th Century French Opaline Glass Box Powder JAR Porcelain Lid Deer Fox Woodland Scene!
In very good antique condition with no chips or cracks, shows signs of age / wear, (mainly the brass shows patina and the underside of the lid has some discoloration) see photos. Measures 1.75" tall and about 4" at it's widest point, weighs 209 grams. Features a porcelain decorated lid with raised hand painted accents. The dusk or dawn scene depicts mom and young deer with a fox spying on them. This piece would make an awesome home decor or vanity item on it's own or grouped with other like pieces! Not signed but the lid is marked 2 T (impressed and gilt), reminds me of early Zell Germany marks, if you know who made this any info would be welcome. Would make a great addition to your collection.
