RARE VNTG c1930's CANADIAN ROLEX OYSTER "NEPTUNE" STAINLESS STEEL HANDWOUND MEN'S WATCH. Item Is Pre-Owned; Item Is Sold "AS IS"; Shipped USPS Ground Advantage with Signature Confirmation.

Offered for your viewing and bidding pleasure is likely one of the rarest Canadian market Rolexes produced. While neither the word "Rolex" nor "Oyster" appear on the original rose colored dial, it has the same dial configuration and Rolex minuet chapter as observed on other Canadian oysters. The interior of the stainless steel case is signed Oyster Watch Company and also RWC Ltd. (Rolex Watch Co.), as well as being marked with the reference number 3478; it measures approximately 35mm by 29mm. The case is in very good condition notwithstanding the typical surface marks and minor scratches due to age and use. The crown is an original signed oyster patented crown; however, it appears that the tube had been previously replaced and the crown can no longer be screwed down and locked. The crystal is clear with no issues and offers a perfect unobstructed view of the stunning original rose colored dial. As shown in the pictures, the rear case contains a dedication. The 17 jewel movement is signed Oyster Watch Ltd. and appears to be the same caliber 59 as seen in other Canadian Oysters of the time. The watch currently winds, sets and keeps time. However, one hundred percent accuracy is not guaranteed, nor should it be expected. Since I have not had this timepiece serviced, nor have any information as to its service history, I cannot guarantee its future performance. If optimal timekeeping is required, a cleaning and adjustment is recommended. Fitted is a period appropriate blue nylon band that is configured for a smaller wrist.

Please review all the pictures as they represent far more accurately the items condition than any verbal description that I can provide. In those situations where you are uncertain or unsure, ask questions, before bidding. Don't assume. Asking questions will ensure that you receive what you expect. Most if not all of the horological items which I present for auction are from watchmakers' estates which have been in storage for a number of years. Consequently, I have no details as to their prior history nor can I offer any information other than what has been gleaned from cursory observation.

Now for the boring stuff:

Please study the photographs closely as they are considered part of the description. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me prior to bidding.

There are no refunds. I do not accept returns because you thought that it was something different, or you changed your mind. All items are deemed sold "AS IS" unless there is a material error in the description. In that rare event, an item may be returned for a full refund, minus shipping cost, if applicable. We do not offer, nor give partial refunds. The item must be returned in the same condition and with the same packaging and paperwork, if any, with which it was sent.

Payment is due within three days of auction end unless you have contacted us prior to make alternate arrangements. Payments not received within four days will be reported to eBay as a non-payment. Your bid will thereafter be cancelled and the item relisted.

International bidders welcomed.
