The Gerber E Tool shovel is a military issue digging tool that was designed to dig fox / fighting holes and trenches. It was designed to replace the earlier generation AMES E Tool. The Gerber E-Tool is made with a steel blade and a glass-filled nylon handle with an anodized shaft making this shovel lighter weight and durable. Just like the earlier military entrenching tool, it folds in 3 ways to be compact and fit into a MOLLE shovel cover. These “folding shovels” were primarily used to dig defensive positions like foxholes and trenches.

Good used condition shows moderate signs of wear. “Used by our Troops”. Some dirt, light rust, paint wear and chipping, light edge wear possible. Hinges and locking mechanism in good working condition. Cover may have some writing, color fading and small holes. Cover buttons, snaps, buckles, clips, straps are present and serviceable. Many years of serviceable use remaining with normal care.

Very Good used condition shows minimal signs of wear. Paint may show some minor scratches or chipping. May have very light rust on areas where paint is missing. Edge is in very good condition. Hinges and locking mechanism in very good condition. Cover has minimal to no fading and no writing or holes. Cover buttons, snaps, buckles, clips, straps are in very good condition.

Excellent used condition shows hardly any signs of wear. Paint is in excellent condition, very light to no scratches, chips, or rust. Edge is in excellent condition. Hinges and locking mechanism in excellent condition. Cover has very good bright crisp color and no writing or holes. Cover buttons, snaps, buckles, clips, straps are in excellent condition.

New or New never issued are either brand new with tags and / or packaging or in the case of never issued, they may not have tags or packaging and may have some dust or signs of storage / handling but show no signs of ever having been issued or used.

Shipping Terms

We ship orders twice per week, Tuesday and Friday. Monday and Thursday orders where payment is received before COB 5 pm EST will ship the following day on Tuesday or Friday.
We do not ship on weekends or US holidays
For high value orders we may require signature confirmation upon delivery
Your order will be shipped from Indiana or Kentucky. We ship using USPS Parcel Select or UPS Ground. We generally choose the most economical (regardless of what service was in the eBay listing) however if you have a shipping preference or require expedited shipping, please send us a message and we will accommodate if you pay for the additional cost of shipping.
Delivery dates or shipping times are estimates! Once we hand it off to the shipping carrier it is out of our control and delays could happen for any reason on their end.

Returns

All of our items may be returned within 30 days unless otherwise noted
The buyer is responsible for paying return shipping
Items must be returned in the same condition as they were shipped with all accessories
Refunds will be issued only after we receive the returned item and it is examined
