This is a 1742 Netherlands Overyssel "Silver Rider" 1 Ducaton from the 1743 Hollandia Shipwreck NGC AU Details DAV-1830, Sea Salvaged, (About/Almost Uncirculated Details). The first two images are provided by the NGC Photography Team and can be downloaded.

The Dutch East Indiaman Ship "Hollandia" sunk off the Isles of Scilly, England, carrying large quantities of silver pillar dollars and some silver cobs.

This larger crown sized silver coin has some light signs of wear on the high points a some tone on each side with a few of the areas being like a blackish color (not super dark). There are a few little scratch marks to the right of the horse and some sort of hit causing the metal to raise behind the Horseman's head (see indentation on other side of coin) which were likely occurred during the sinking. The coin does retain some incredible details with minimal saltwater corrosion signs. This coin comes in the NGC plastic slab with the special blue "Shipwreck Certification" label. Please use your own best judgement to determine the grade/quality of the coin and see each picture before purchasing!
