Yerba Mate Yacuy Azzam 250g
Yacuy is one of the few Brazilian companies to have its admirers in Middle Eastern countries. It is here in the Levant, where yerba mate is very popular in the evenings in the deserts that the hot brew is drunk. It is 100 % dried without any additives. It is not any of the classic yerba mate, it contains a combination of three types. A very fine cut mate similar in appearance to PU1 along with yerba suave and the classic dried green verde type.
It tastes delicious together with almonds, figs and grapes.
Taste and Aroma
The mild and cheerful aroma as soon as you open the packet, also stays with the already prepared brew. The taste in the first pours is quite mild with a lot of sweet aftertaste. No smoky aromas or bitter notes are perceptible. Towards the end of the 3rd pour, more woody and hay-like notes similar in taste to Brazilian yerba mate made for the Uruguayan market appear. From the fourth pour, the brew loses the bitter accents and stabilises.
